CMA Foundation Syllabus & CMA Foundation Exam

The Institute of Cost Management Accountants of India administers the CMA Foundation Exam, which is a disconnected expressive test administered by pen and paper. The test consists of four papers. Each is worth 100 stamps and lasts three hours. The exam will last for at least four days. It takes place twice a year, once in June and once in December.

 

Eligibility Criteria and Registration Process

You must appear for the Secondary School Examination (10+2) or a proportional examination as determined by the Central Government.

 

If you meet this requirement, you are qualified to enroll. It's worth noting that if you're waiting for your results, you can apply for temporary enrollment.

 

You can enlist in one of two different ways:

  • Offline registration
  • Online registration

In the event that you pick disconnected enrollment, you’ll need to mail in your application to your individual territorial boards/parts.

For online registration, you will need to register on the ICMAI website itself.

PAPER 1: FUNDAMENTALS OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT (100 Marks)

The goal of this paper, Fundamentals of Economics and Management, according to the ICMAI, is to help you “increase vital information in Economics and comprehend the concept of the board at the large scale and miniature level.” Additionally, you should be able to "conceptualize the executives' important requirements."

 

The paper is three hours long in total. The study is divided into two sections: Section A deals with economic fundamentals, while Section B deals with management fundamentals. It's a unique piece of work, and the mode is broken (pen and paper-based). The paper has a value of 100 impressions. Each component is worth 50 stamps on its own.
