WORLD EARTH DAY  EARTH Earth is our home. Scientists believe that the world and its moon were formed during the remainder of the system which was about 4.5 billion years ago. Earth  is the fifth largest planet within the system. Its diameter is about 8,000 miles. Earth is the third closest planet to the Sun. the typical distance from the Sun is about 93 million miles. Mercury and Venus are only approximate. Earth  is named “Goldilocks Planet”. Within the story “Goldilocks and therefore the Three Bears”, the small girl named Goldilocks liked everything. His bed can’t be very hard or soft. On earth, everything is ok for all times. It is hot, but not too hot. There’s water in it, but there’s not much water.
