When light falls on an object, part of the light gets reflected. The reflected light enters our eyes and we are able to see an object. Light always travels in a straight line, and its rays represent the path of light objects. Non-luminous object: An object which does not emit light on their own is called non-luminous object, the light emitted by luminous objects falls on non-luminous objects, and then bounces back to our eye, which enables us to see non-luminous objects. Examples of non-luminous objects are the moon, a cupboard, a pen, a book, a wooden box, and the chair. Luminous Object: An object which emits light on their own is called a luminous object.
