Independence Day holds plenty of importance within the lives of individuals of India because it was the day when the country earned its freedom from the British who ruled the country for over two hundred years. It’s the day of pride, glory, and joy for the countrymen who pay their respect and tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. It was on this day that the legislative sovereignty to the ‘Indian Constituent Assembly’ was transferred by the Parliament of the United Kingdom through the ‘Indian Independence At 1947’.
Besides ceremonial Celebration of the independence of India, this day additionally reminds the citizens of the struggles, sacrifices, and resilience of the Freedom fighters who retorted to varied means that as well as direct action and non-violence so as to throw the foreign rule out of India. This day reminds the folks of the country concerning the dawn of a brand new era, a brand new starting, and therefore the formation of an independent nation after a protracted and ho-hum battle.
As said by our national leader, the Prime Minister of free India, “At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom” India also celebrates the freedom of thought, speech, action, movement, and mandate on this day.
