Business Communication - Notes for CS Executive Entrance Test

CS Executive Entrance Test

What are the ten C's of business communication?

The communication must be -

1. Clear - Clarity is required for any type of communication. It ensures that the communication is not misunderstood in transit from the sender to the recipient.
2. Correct - It should go without saying that communication must be accurate and grammatically correct.

3. Conciseness entails keeping communication to a minimum, since, let's face it, no one has time in this world!

4. Courteous - Being courteous is the greatest method to communicate if you don't want to come across as someone who would chop the receiver's head off. After all, it reflects not just your professionalism but also your personality.

5. Concrete - Concrete communication entails communicating precisely and discussing certain topics. Messages that are vague or generic receive no response.

6. Considerate - You wouldn't want someone to be insensitive to you, even if it was inadvertent, therefore you shouldn't do it to someone else. Being respectful to the receiver, like being courteous, reflects not only your professionalism but also who you are as a person.

7. Complete -"Hello, my name is...", etc. Is that sentence comprehensible? It didn't happen, of course! As a result, you must provide complete information so that the receiver understands what you're trying to say. A complete communication contains all of the information that the recipient requires.

8. Conversational- Would you have preferred these 10Cs to feel more like a monologue? I'm guessing (and praying) you didn't say yes! Making communication conversational encourages the recipient to communicate freely with the sender, thus conversing while staying on topic is the way to go!

9. Coherent -"I'm contacting you to make my flight reservations because my chair broke," she says. Is that clear now? It didn't happen, of course! So, to summarise, coherence simply implies that your message should make sense.

10. Credible - "Flights are not safe because I witnessed pigs flying." Did it make sense? Let me ask you again: did that make sense? NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO As a result, you'll want to keep your communication's content as simple as possible.

Why is Hindi Day celebrated on 14 September?

Why is Hindi Day celebrated on 14 September? After independence, the Government of India set a goal to give an ideal form to the mother tongue of the country and set a target for grammar and orthography using the Devanagari script to bring standardization in writing. Subsequently, on September 14, 1949, the Constituent Assembly decided by a vote that Hindi would be the official language of India. To propagate the importance of this decision and to spread Hindi in every region, India is celebrating Hindi Day every year from 1953 to 14 September, at the request of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha. Apart from this, 14 September is also the birthday of Rajendra Singh, who worked tirelessly to make Hindi the official language of India. Hindi Day is observed every year on 14 September to mark the importance of the Hindi language in the country. The Hindi language is one of the oldest languages, which derives most of its academic vocabulary from the Sanskrit language written in the Deva
