Online Banking Classes : Arithmetic Reasoning is an important topic of verbal reasoning in which we have to perform mathematical operations in order to solve the problems. Arithmetic reasoning problems mainly involve solving questions from Equations, Simplification, Problem on Ages etc.
  1. The total of the ages of A, B, and C is 80 years. What was the total of their ages four years ago?
Sol: Required sum = (80 – 4 x 3) years
= (80 – 12) years = 68 years.
Ans: 68 years

  1. Find the number which when added to itself 13 times, gives the answer as 112.
Sol: Let the number be x.
Then, x + 13x = 112
⇒ 14x = 112   x = 8.
Answer: 8
