Worksheet for Class 4 Maths

Meaning of Expanded Form

A sum of whole numbers can be formed from any number. Each digit's value in mathematics can be stated in an extended form. A number's extended representation is the product of each digit's place value multiplied by itself.

Consider an illustration of the enlarged form:

1,628 = 1*1000 + 6*100 + 2*10 + 8*1

The short form is the number that accurately represents the absolute value. By simply summing the values of all the digits according to their place values, we may easily condense any enlarged number. Let's calculate the short form of the extended form 400 + 60 + 3, which is 463. The expanded form consists of 4 hundreds, 6 tens, and 4 ones.

Take another short form illustration.

1,000 + 700 + 60 + 8 = 1768

1768 is the abbreviation, therefore.

Write these numbers in expanded/short form

1. Express in expanded form:

  1. 7687
  2. 6523
  3. 9701
  4. 1678
  5. 7676
  6. 4680

2. Express in standard form:

  1. 7000 + 100 + 80 + 7
  2. 3000 + 700 + 50 + 3
  3. 4000 + 600 + 70 +8
  4. 1000 + 500 + 10 + 2
  5. 9000 + 300 + 1
  6. 8000 + 400 + 20 + 5

Bhakti Movement NCERT Class 12 History The Bhakti movement was an effort to achieve salvation and emancipation by devotion to God. In Hindi, the word bhakti refers to fervent devotion to God. This movement, which stressed a single-minded, ardent devotion to God, is seen as the most characteristic act of religious progress during the Middle Ages. In the 12th and 13th centuries, Kabir Das was a key figure in the Bhakti Movement. As a result of the movement, Kabir Das' poems and religious writings attained widespread fame. Kabir Das was raised up by a Muslim family. However, his religious beliefs were influenced by his Hindu teacher Ramananda, who regarded Rama as the highest God. The first Sikh guru and the founder of Sikhism was Guru Nanak. He vehemently opposed prejudice based on customs, rivalry, and caste in religion.
