Computer Networking : A computer network is a set of interconnected computers to share resources, like access to the Internet, printers, file servers, and others. Computers on a network are called nodes. The computers can be connected with each other with the help of different transmission mediums like Ethernet cable, or wirelessly through radio waves.
Components:
  1. Server – The computer that sends data to other nodes connected to each other via networking is known as a server.
  2. Receiver – a hardware module or device used to receive signals
  3. Channel – Transmission medium (connection) between the Server & Receiver.
Transmission Channel:
Simplex channel – simplex is a communications channel that operates in one direction at a time.
Half duplex channel – A half-duplex channel can send and receive data, but not at the same time.
Full duplex channel – A full-duplex channel can send and receive data simultaneously.
