CA Foundation creates fundamental inquisition in the understanding of the CA program, as its name implies. The CA Foundation course is designed to provide an overview of accounting principles and their implications for various forms of accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for Provisional Admission to Foundation Course have been published by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The CA Foundation 2021 course was previously known as CPT, and the current CA establishment schedule is considered to be more serious and difficult than the previous prospectus. For all of the CA course assessments, a similar tone has been set. 

Candidates should register for the CA Foundation course at icai.org. Since the foundation course is the first level of the ICAI CA, candidates must register with the Board of Studies (BOS) in addition to the foundation course.

 

1. Can I apply for the foundation course if I am studying in class 12th? 

Ans. Yes, students who had appeared for their class tenth exam which is conducted through a standardized board or any perceived body by the Central Government or equivalent can enroll in the Foundation Course of ICAI. They can get enlisted themselves at the beginning of the year in order to get responsible for showing up in May/June 2021 Foundation Examination.

 

2. I need to apply for the foundation course as I have passed class tenth and now in the eleventh standard, can I apply for that?

Ans. Yes, after passing Class 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government or the State Government as equivalent, may provisionally register in the Foundation Course of ICAI.

 

3. If I apply for the CA foundation course will I be able to appear for the entrance test which will be conducted in May 2021, as I am in class twelfth?

The qualifications required to appear for the entrance test are given below: 

i. The applicants are instructed to get selected for the examination on or before the first day of January or the first day of July for the tests that will be led in May/June or November/December month. Before sitting in the foundation test a multi-month study period is required.

ii. The aspirants are required to appear in the (10+2) exam which is conducted by the examination board established by a governing body or an exam conducted by any standardized board.

 

4. When would I be able to get enlisted for the foundation course as I need to become a CA and at present, I am in class twelfth?

Ans. The first day of Jan or the first day of July is the period when you can get enlisted for the CA foundation of the Institute for the examination which will be conducted in May/June or in the months of November/December.


5. I will be appearing in the class twelfth examination which is to be held in May 2021. For instance, If I get selected and clear the foundation examination in 2021 and if I couldn’t clear the class 12 examination then will my results be countable?

Ans. Your temporary admission to the Foundation course will be done on the condition that you clear your Class XII examinations.
