Meaning of Physical change- physical alteration is one that does not result in the formation of a new substance. 
Meaning of Chemical change- Any alteration that results in the formation of new material is referred to as a chemical change.

Difference between physical and chemical change

Physical change

CompositionPhysical attributes shift throughout time. The chemical composition, on the other hand, remains unchanged.
Longevity- Changes that are just temporary
Change in energy- Energy absorption is little to non-existent.
Creation of Products- There are no new items created.
Reversibility- Can be reversed or not.
Examples- Paper being torn

Chemical change

CompositionPhysical properties change. Additionally, chemical compositions also change.
Longevity-Permanent changes
Change in energy- More absorption and creation of energy occurs.
Creation of Products- New products always get formed.
Reversibility- Reversal is extremely difficult or impossible.
Examples- Burning of paper
