Square and Square roots- Class 8 Maths

If we will closely observe the numbers like 4, 9, 25, 64, 81, etc we will observe a fact which is these numbers can be rewritten as-
4=2*2
9=3*3
25=5*5
64=8*8
So, these numbers can be easily expressed as the product of the number itself and these types of numbers are also known as square numbers.
If a natural number m can be expressed as n² where n is also a natural number, then m is a square number.
How to find whether the number is a square number?
Let us consider a number 32
We know that 5²=25 and 6²=36. If 32 is a square number, it must the square of a natural number between 5 and 6 and as we know that there is no natural number between 5 and 6. So, 32 is not a square number.
