Here we mentioned the sort of jobs you would get after the SSC CGL Test has been cracked.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a body within the Government of India for the recruitment of staff in various ministries and departments of the Government of India and in subordinate offices for different roles. For the recruitment of graduate, higher secondary, and metric level positions under different government organizations/departments/divisions, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) performs several national level exams.
The most popular exam conducted by SSC is the CGL (Combined Graduate Level) exam. It is conducted every year for graduates to recruit them for various non-technical posts of Group B and Group C in ministries, departments, and organizations of the Government of India.
You have to clear the exam in order to get appointed to the desired post. The post will be allocated to you according to the overall merit of the marks scored by you. The posts have been grouped according to the pay level to make it easier for aspirants to learn about the different posts selected from SSC CGL.
Doing well in the SSC CGL exam and getting through it is not an easy task. Rest assured that you can get a very rewarding job if you can perform well. Just as it is important to score well, after passing the entrance test, it is important to have a good understanding of what kinds of jobs you can get. Some of the positions that one can gain after clearing the SSC CGL Exam are given below:
Inspector, Inspector (Central Excise)
If you are posted in the field, you will have to manage jobs such as sealing and product monitoring, detection of tax evasion, etc. If you are posted at the headquarters, you will have to do clerical work, which mostly includes handling paperwork.
In the appointments of Excise Inspector, Assistant Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Appraiser/ Superintendent, and Deputy Commissioner, if you do well in your role, you may apply for a promotion.

However, if it is put in the tax assessment sector, then the income tax of an individual or corporation will have to be measured, checked, and then adjusted. He would also have to do a great deal of clerical work along with this.
Tax Assistant (Central Board of Excise and Customs)
There is very little control over the role of tax assistant on the Central Board of Excise and Customs. He may be assigned to the Department of Customs, Service Tax, or Excise and must write and submit reports. His career development would be comparable to that of the Tax Assistant at the Direct Taxes Central Board.
Tax Auditor for Profits (Central Board of Direct Taxes)
It is possible to split the position of an Income Tax Inspector into two parts: tax assessment and non-tax assessment, both of which can be transferred on a cyclical basis. In the case of the former, you will have to measure and analyze the tax and process refunds of a business/income person if appropriate. If you are responsible for non-tax appraisal, you will mostly have to do clerical work.
Inspector (Examiner) (Central Board of Excise and Customs)
Although this position has very few vacancies, it is associated with a lot of prestige and respect.
