9th Class Science - Is Matter Around us Pure
Two types of the Matter viz, Pure and Impure. A Pure Substance consists of a single type of particle, atoms, or molecules. An Impure Substance consists more than one type of particles, atoms or molecules. It is also known as a Mixture.
As per Class 9 Science syllabus, in this article, we will discuss mixture and types of mixtures.
Mixture
We will now discuss Mixture and its types. This article helps you in class 9 science notes on Mixture.
Mixtures are made up of more than one kind of pure form of matter known as a substance. The substance cannot be usually separated into other kinds of matter. Depending upon the nature of the components that form a mixture, we can have different types of mixtures.
Solution
A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances. As a solution, there is homogeneity at the particle level, it means that the particles are evenly distributed. A solution is made up of two components solvent and solute.
A Solvent is a component that dissolves the other component. The solvent is a usually larger portion in a solution.
The Solute is usually dissolved in the solvent. The Solute is usually present in smaller quantity.
