CBSE Maths Class 8 Exponents and Power

CBSE Maths  Class 8 Exponents and Power

We will proceed to discuss the Exponents and Power from Class 8 Maths.
An Exponent stands for a way repeatedly the amount is increased.We have studied in previous Class‘how to put in writing massive numbers mistreatment exponents’. It involves 2 numbers a and b wherever a is base and b is that the exponent.
Mass of earth is 5,970,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kg, which can be written as 5, 97 x 10 24 .
10 24 can be read as 10 raised to the power 24.
Now, we will find what is 2-2  is equal to?
Powers with negative exponents
We know that 10 2  = 10 x 10=100
As the exponents decrease by 1 the value becomes one tenth of the previous value.
10 =100/10=10
10 =10/10=1
10 -1 =1/10
10 =1/100
So, by observing the above pattern we can say that any integer a which is non -zero, a  -m =1/ a  m , where m is a positive integer.
 -m Is the multiplicative inverse of a  m .
Laws of exponents
We know that for any non-zero integer a,a  m x a  n =a  m+n
Example : -3 -4 x -3 -3 = 1/-3 4+3 = -3 -7
-7 is the sum of exponents -4 and -3

Class 8th online classes will enable you to review the complete subject matter for Class 8 designed by the experts.

But for the students of  Class 2 , it’s very difficult and confusing to understand where to use  s , es, ves or ies  in the form of many. Don’t worry, it looks difficult, but it is very easy as in grammar each concept has a set of rules that need to practice. Noun ending with  –s, -x, -o, -sh, -ch, and –ss  form plurals by taking  –es. The discount rate applicable is 8%. The net present value today of Rs. 108,000 is equal to (108,000 * 1) / (1.08) ^2)= Rs. 92,593 included in purchase consideration. A liability of Rs. 92,59...
